Hidden from view of passing cars and pedestrians above is the Minneapolis Rowing Club’s Boathouse designed by Minneapolis-based VJAA. Situated on the banks of the Mississippi River near the Lake Street Bridge, the Boathouse’s signature gesture is its dynamic hyperbolic parabola roof, in which the supporting trusses are rotated evoking the rhythmic pattern of the rowers’ stroke.
