The original Rapson Rapid Rocker chair was produced by the legendary Knoll furniture company in the 1940s. It has been recently reissued by Rapson-Inc. under the supervision of architect Ralph Rapson, an icon of mid-century modernism in America, before his death in 2008. The organic, fluid lines of its maple plywood frame produce a smooth rocking motion and a refined silhouette. The rocker’s distinctive, cantilevered arms have been widely imitated over the years.
