Enjoy a day inspired by the mythical and superhuman sculptures in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday event
Super Sculptures
, from 10 am–3 pm Saturday, September 5. Highlights of the day include a performance by local bodybuilders Laurey Heinrich, Michelle Soldo, and Ponce Saysomphou; art-making activities making action figures and outfits from recycled materials; and a photo activity which encourages kids to model their new identities. The Garden Grill by Wolfgang Puck will be open from 10 am–4 pm.
Activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 am–3 pm. Gallery admission is free from 10 am–5 pm on Free First Saturday.
