Fun for the whole family takes on an international flair at the Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday event
Global Games
, from 10 am–3 pm Saturday, May 1. Highlights of the day include a Global Games Fair, where visitors can learn to play different games from all around the world; a screening of Jessica Yu’s Ping Pong Playa; a gallery activity; story time; and an art-making activity.
Activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 am–3 pm. Gallery admission is free from 10 am–5 pm on Free First Saturday.

Learn to play lotería, mahjong, pob zeb, and other games with lessons from local organizations like Alliance Française, the American Swedish Institute, Center for Asian Pacific Minnesotans, Concordia Language Villages, the Italian Cultural Center, Peace Corps, St. Paul Sister Cities, SteppingStone Theatre, and the Tibetan-American Foundation of Minnesota.
