Rock the Garden 2012 Tickets Go on Sale at 4PM April 18 to Walker Art Center and Minnesota Public Radio Members--Tune in to 89.3 The Current for the Band Line-Up

Join us at the Fitzgerald Theater for the Rock the Garden line up announcement during a live broadcast on Wednesday, April 18; General public tickets go on sale April 20

Minneapolis, April 3, 2012—How will the Garden will be rocked this summer? Tune into 89.3 The Current, 3–5 pm, for a special broadcast on Wednesday, April 18 to find out! Tickets go on sale to Walker Art Center and Minnesota Public Radio Members at 4 pm on Wednesday, April 18. Audiences may join us in person for the live announcement on April 18, 3–5 pm at The Fitzgerald Theater. During this free, live broadcast, 89.3 The Current’s Mary Lucia will talk to the Walker’s Philip Bither and The Current’s Jim McGuinn about the June 16 concert. Hear the line-up first and expect surprise special guests at this “pre-party.” Admission to the April 18 broadcast is free and open to the public; seating is first come, first served. The event is open to all ages. Alcohol (with valid ID) and other beverages will be available for purchase in The Fitzgerald Theater lobby.

For those who can’t join us at the Fitzgerald in person, the Rock the Garden 2012 lineup unveiling will be broadcast 3–5 pm on 89.3 The Current and streamed on walkerart.org and thecurrent.org

Tickets:

Advance ticket purchase is recommended. Rock the Garden 2012 Tickets will go on sale to Walker Art Center and 89.3 The Current members at 4 pm, Wednesday, April 18. Walker/MPR membership ID numbers will be required for all pre-sale purchases. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the public at noon, Friday, April 20.

Tickets are $49 for general admission/all ages; and $175 for VIP Skybox (includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres by D’Amico, three drink tickets, a cash bar, and access to the Walker’s rooftop terraces, The Grove, and street amenities). $55 of the $175 Skybox ticket is tax-deductible.

Tickets will also be available for purchase starting at 4 pm at the live broadcast at the Fitzgerald Theater via credit or debit card.

The Fitzgerald:

The Fitzgerald Theater is located at 10 E. Exchange St. in St. Paul. Recommended parking: WTC Parking Ramp – enter on Wabasha off 7th Street. There’s some construction underway along the Central Corridor for light rail, near the Fitzgerald Theater, so please allow sufficient time for traffic and parking. Walker Art Center
