Explore the exhibition Merce Cunningham: Common Time with performances in the gallery by local youth dance company Young Dance.
For over 25 years, Young Dance has offered a place for youth in our community to grow body and spirit through the creative expression of modern dance.
Young Dance has a physically integrated youth modern dance company that currently consists of 38 boys and girls, ages 7-18, with and without disabilities. Their students live in Minneapolis, St. Paul and surrounding areas. An additional 120 students participate in their community classes.
The art form of modern dance emerges from a process of collaboration, problem solving, and self-expression, it develops strong, self-confident, critical thinkers who delight in and engage the diversity of people and ideas found in our communities.
