2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards Return for Walker Members

What defines “indie cinema” today? Find out at a three-week run of artistically adventurous fiction and nonfiction feature films nominated for the Film Independent Spirit Awards, copresented with FilmNorth. This annual partnership program showcases nominees for Best Feature, Best First Feature, and Best Documentary, as selected by the independent film community for their exceptional creativity, unique vision, and innovation. Explore the remarkable achievements and breadth of today’s independent filmmaking with special free Spirit Awards screenings just for members.On February 1, enjoy a drink from the cash bar, open 5:45–7 pm, followed by a 7 pm screening of The Inspection. A post-show Q&A will feature director Elegance Bratton and producers Effie T. Brown and Chester Algernal Gordon. Details are available here.

The Spirit Awards is the premier awards event for the independent film community, produced by Film Independent, a nonprofit arts organization that champions creative independence in visual storytelling and supports a community of artists who embody diversity, innovation, and uniqueness of vision. Pick up two free tickets to each film (available on a first-come, first-served basis), starting one hour before the first screening on each date.

 

RESERVE TICKETS AND CELEBRATE IN STYLE

Walker members at the Contemporaries level and above will be able to reserve two tickets per film online here. FilmNorth and Film Independent members can reserve tickets online here. All reservations must be made by 11 am the day of the event.
