Avant Garden Art Auction 2024

The Walker Art Center’s celebrated benefit, Avant Garden, will take place in Minneapolis on Saturday, September 21. This premier art auction includes works by Stanley Whitney, Matt Connors, Catherine Opie, Haegue Yang, Alec Soth, Julie Buffalohead, and others.

Bidding for this online auction opens exclusively on Sotheby’s beginning Thursday, September 12, at 10 am CST (11 am EST) and will close on Monday, September 23, at 1 pm CST (2 pm EST).

The auction works will be on view to the public in the Walker’s Cargill Lounge from Wednesday, September 18 through Sunday, September 22. The Walker will be closed to the public on Saturday, September 21, in preparation for Avant Garden.

All proceeds support the Walker’s mission to empower people to experience the transformative possibilities of the art and ideas of our time and to imagine the world in new ways.
