The Walker Art Center is committed to safeguarding your privacy online. In general, you can visit the Walker’s website without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. Please read the following policy to understand how personal information that you provide will be treated as you make use of our online offerings. Note that we review our privacy practices from time to time, and that such practices are subject to change. When you visit the Walker Art Center website, our servers automatically collect information about the IP address from which you access the site, the pages you visit, the date and time you access our site, and the type of browser and operating system that you are using. The information we compile is used to enhance the visitor’s experience when using the website to display personalized content.
E-Mail Contents and Newsletter
You may choose to provide us with personal information in an e-mail message to one of the addresses listed throughout our site or by registering for our e-mail newsletter. We use this information only to respond to your message or to register you for the services you have requested. If you sign up for an e-mail newsletter, you have the option to unsubscribe at any time. Any information you choose to provide regarding special interests may be used for marketing and promotional purposes. By providing this information, you may receive occasional e-mail messages from the Walker Art Center. See Data Sharing below.
The information you provide on the online order form (your name, address, telephone numbers, credit card information, and e-mail address) is used for billing purposes, to fill the order, and to reach you if we have trouble processing your order. The Walker may use third-party ordering systems but abides by these same terms. See Data Sharing below.
A cookie is a small digital signature file stored by your web browser that allows our servers to track visitors. Cookies may be used to track return visits to the Walker’s site. If you choose to reject cookies, you will still be able to use the Walker’s site but you may not be able to build a shopping order.
You should be aware that your name and physical address may be exchanged with other arts organizations and arts programmers as well as other select organizations. These organizations may attempt to contact you to promote products or services that they offer. Such contacts will only be made with our consent, and we will only grant our consent when we consider the offer to be of potential interest and benefit to you. We do not sell, exchange, share, or rent any lists to commercial organizations, political parties or candidates for political office. Credit card information is not made available to any third party and is considered completely confidential.
If you don’t want your name and/or contact information to be used in the manner stated above, you may indicate this at the time you provide the information. If an “opt-out” option is not offered, or you decide after you have provided this information that you do not want us to share your information with any other organization, you may also notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We cannot, however, remove your name from any third party list; you will have to contact them directly.

We encourage all of our partners, contributors, and third parties to implement policies and practices that respect the privacy of our users. Use of Outside Vendors
The Walker Art Center may from time to time retain qualified third-party vendors in order to help us manage the Walker’s website and allow us to better serve our visitors and customers. These may include third-party vendors we engage to analyze the information we collect for marketing or similar purposes. The Walker Art Center requires its vendors to maintain the security of the information to which they are provided access and restricts the vendors from using the information in any way not expressly authorized by the Walker Art Center.
E-commerce on the Walker’s website is secure. We use the industry standard secure socket layer (SSL) to protect the security of your online order information. SSL technology encrypts your order information to prevent it from being decoded by anyone other than the Walker Art Center.
Tickets for Walker programs may be purchased by phone or in person at the Walker lobby desk. Purchases can be made 24 hours a day from the calendar.
All major credit cards, personal checks, and cash are accepted for payment at time of reservation. Online payment is by credit card only. Tickets are nonrefundable.
A $1.50 to $2.50 per ticket fee is applied to all phone and online orders. The fee is based on event type and covers expenses related to the transaction. Ticket purchases made in person do not require a service fee.
Walker performances, screenings, and events may be filmed, photographed, or recorded. Ticket holders consent to appear in this documentation and its future use by the Walker.
Student Rush Tickets and Group Discounts
As available, student rush tickets (the remaining seats in the house) go on sale at the Hennepin Lobby Box Office one hour before any performing arts event. Limit one $10 student rush ticket per person, with valid student ID. For more information or to check availability, please call 612.375.7600.
