COVID-19 Guidelines
Come in! We’re excited to see you in the galleries. We’ve made some changes to how you visit the Walker:
Visiting the Galleries
- All visitors need a ticket—even for free admission.
- Timed tickets are available online.
- Timed admission tickets for members, youth, and Target Free Thursday Nights are $0.
- Please select your arrival time when purchasing your ticket.
- After entering, visitors can stay as long as the museum is open.
- Large groups: Please split up into groups of 10 or fewer while in the galleries
- Gallery admission tickets for Free First Saturdays are available on-site on the event day from the Main Lobby desk; quantities are limited.
Standard guidelines for visitors and staff.
- Masks are strongly encouraged for all visitors ages 2 and older regardless of vaccination status. On Free First Saturdays and Sensory Friendly Sundays, we require visitors ages 2 and older to wear face masks inside the building to support the safety and comfort of families and attendees.
- Always maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet away from people not in your household group.
- Frequent handwashing is encouraged.
Visiting the Walker Cinema and McGuire Theater
- Mask-wearing is mandatory to enter any screening or performance held in the Walker Cinema or McGuire Theater (and select Bentson Mediatheque events).
- The Walker requires all ticket holders to show proof of a completed COVID-19 vaccination regimen to enter any screening or performance held in the Walker Cinema or McGuire Theater (and select Bentson Mediatheque events). A negative COVID-19 test result will no longer be accepted.
- Proof of vaccination must match the ticket holder’s ID. Ticket holders under age 18 may provide a school photo ID or an official school document with the student’s name.
- A completed COVID-19 vaccination regimen means at least 14 days have passed since receiving a second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or a single dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
- Attendees may present a physical vaccination record card or a digital document on a mobile device (such as a photo image of a vaccination record card). The Docket app or Bindle apps are an easy and convenient option for tracking and sharing your vaccination card digitally.
- Refunds: Any ticket holder not meeting the above requirement(s) is eligible for a refund.
- If you are medically unable to meet these requirements, please email access@walkerart.org or call 612-375-7564.
