Screening of America’s Pop Collector: Robert C. Scull—Contemporary Art at Auction (1974), introduced by director John Schott
Walker Collectors’ Council members are invited to for the grand finale of the 2018–2019 Collectors’ Council season: a private screening of two vital art market films in the Walker Cinema, hosted by special guests. We will begin with the acclaimed The Price of Everything (2018) followed by a Q&A with Pulitzer Prize–winning art critic Jerry Saltz, who is featured in the film. After a short intermission with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, we will screen America’s Pop Collector: Robert C. Scull—Contemporary Art at Auction (1974), also included in The Price of Everything. Director John Schott will provide context before this rare viewing of his landmark documentary.
