Join us as we discuss how education organizations across the country are responding to the needs of diverse communities during the global pandemic. Nisa Mackie, the Walker’s Head of Public Engagement, Learning, and Impact, will unpack the work it takes to serve audiences and community partners.

We’ll also hear from Dr. Betsy Maloney Leaf (PhD, MFA), a Co-License Program Lead in the Arts in Education program at the University of Minnesota, on the effects of the pandemic on teachers, parents and students. They will be joined by Dr. Carolyn Porta (PhD, MPH, RN), Associate Vice President for Clinical Affairs and a Professor in Nursing and Public Health at the University of Minnesota, for a final Q&A.

The event is open to all Walker members. Email educationcouncil@walkerart.org to RSVP today!

The Education Council brings together Walker members and patrons, community advocates, and education professionals who share a passion for arts access and education. The Council is open to all Walker members and patrons, with an annual contribution of $500 on top of membership dues, and helps to directly support our Education and Public Programs.
