Adrienne has been an active member of Minneapolis' arts community for ten years though her position as Director of Development at The Cedar Cultural Center and her volunteer service and consulting work with institutions and organizations such as Theater of Public Policy, West Bank School of Music, Concordia University Arts Department, Center for Hmong Studies, COMPAS Community Arts Organization, Minnesota State Arts Board, and Ka Joog Nonprofit. As The Cedar’s Director of Development, Adrienne conceives and develops mission-driven programs, prepares grant proposals to corporate and private foundations, and oversees a $100,000/year individual giving program. Adrienne has developed integrative programming in collaboration with community partners to address social inequities and community development goals. She implements all grant-funded initiatives including programs that: bring artists to the disability community, engage local Somali residents with live music, and commission emerging artists. Adrienne currently serves on the Board of Directors at Family Tree Clinic in Saint Paul and works with housing assistance organization African Families Development Network to develop programming and secure funding.
