David Lefkowitz is visual artist and Associate Professor of Art at Carleton College. In his own work, Lefkowitz combines Western traditions of representational oil painting with the flotsam and jetsam of consumer culture to draw attention to the complex relations between image and object, past and present, and nature and culture. His work can be found in the collections of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Miami Art Museum, and The Langen Foundation in Neuss, Germany. He is represented by Carrie Secrist Gallery in Chicago.
