David Melendez is a scholar-maker-student in the Department of Theater Arts and Dance at the University of Minnesota. He teaches classes on Chicanx music, art, Barrio culture, and service-learning in the Department of Chicano and Latino Studies. Outside the University, he teaches for the Penumbra Summer Institute and is a member of Mixed Blood Theatre’s Latino Advisory Council.
