Diane Willow is a multimodal artist and a professor of interdisciplinary art and participatory culture at the University of Minnesota. Facile with media as diverse as bioluminescent plankton, effervescent sound, and emerging technologies, by any medium necessary best describes her process. Informed by contemporary concepts of nature, technology, and community, her work invites people to participate as choreographers of their experience of art. She and her spouse, Joanne Jones-Rizzi, Director of Community Engagement at the Science Museum of Minnesota, have shared many warm visits and unexpected adventures with Pauline Oliveros and Ione.
