Jeff Huebner

Jeff Huebner is a Chicago-based art writer, journalist, and author, and a longtime contributor to the Chicago Reader—where his long-form arts journalism has won local and national awards--and the Public Art Review. His work has appeared in dozens of publications, including Sculpture, ARTnews, Art Papers, New Art Examiner, Landscape Architecture, Chicago magazine, Chicago Tribune, and He's written or co-written several books on Chicago-area public art and community murals, including the forthcoming Walls of Prophecy and Protest: William Walker and the Roots of a Revolutionary Public Art Movement (Northwestern, Spring 2019). He was awarded a Creative Capital/Warhol Foundation Art Writers Grant in 2012 and an inaugural Dorothea and Leo Rabkin Foundation Visual Arts Journalism Award in 2017.
