Judith Guest

Author Judith Guest was born in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Education. Her first novel, Ordinary People won the Janet Heidegger Kafka Prize for best first novel in 1976 and was made into a movie that won an Academy Award for best picture in 1980. Her other novels are Second Heaven and Errands and two mystery novels, Killing time in St. Cloud, co-written with Rebecca Hill, and The Tarnished Eye. She is currently at work on an adaptation of The Tarnished Eye for an eight-episode TV miniseries.
