Kylie Gilchrist is Assistant Director at Art Resources Transfer (A.R.T.). With the belief that art and literacy are prerequisites to individual self-determination and healthy democratic communities, A.R.T. strives to sustain our country's public institutions as vigorous agents of education and social change. Since its founding in 1987, A.R.T. has remained committed to distributing and publishing books on contemporary art while interrogating the shifting social roles of the library and the printed book.
Expanding on "Jamming": A residency with Studio K.O.S. presented by A.R.T and the Walker
In fall 2020, the Walker Art Center and Art Resources Transfer (A.R.T.) co-presented a residency with artist collective Studio K.O.S. Through workshops and a public event, the project foregrounded the group’s decades-long practice of collaborative pedagogy and its transformative social impact.
