The British Arrows, one of the Walker’s most popular programs, returns for in-person screenings in the Walker Cinema as well as online for those who wish to view from home. Celebrate this cherished holiday tradition in its 35th year, featuring a bold and eclectic mix of resonant drama, dazzling spectacle, and much-loved comedy from the creative, ever-evolving world of British advertising. From timely adverts advocating for social change to moments of much-needed comedic relief from directors including Spike Jonze and Taika Waititi, the British Arrows serves as an epic year-end time capsule.

2021 British Arrows Awards tickets go on sale for Walker members Thursday, October 28 at 11 am (CDT), and to the general public on Thursday, November 11 at 11 am (CST).
Tickets are $15 ($12 Walker members, students, and seniors) to view the program in-person at the Walker or online (limited to North America). Prices includes all applicable fees. A portion of ticket sales benefits the Walker Art Center’s year-round programming and staff.

About the 2021 British Arrows
The British Arrows in a nonprofit organization started by the creative industry for the creative industry, and every year celebrates the best in moving image advertising in one of the oldest awards shows in the United Kingdom. The world of advertising production in the UK has always been an ever-evolving space for experimentation that engages with popular interests and timely issues. But when mixing accelerated societal change with new restrictions and limitations of lockdown, leaps in risk-taking and innovation occur. This year’s program of ads demonstrates new tech innovations, new styles of coping and interacting with one another, and glimpses at different futures. Following a period that for many of us contained perhaps more television viewing than ever, the typical year-end time capsule generates an opportunity to view ourselves anew and tune in to the conversations we are all having with change, uncertainty, and possibility.
Attendance Requirements for In-Person Screenings
Mask-wearing is required.
The Walker will require either proof of a completed COVID-19 vaccination regimen or proof of a negative COVID-19 test (taken within 72 hours).
The COVID-19 vaccination card must show a completed regimen that concluded at least 14 days before the date of the event.
Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test must be shown at time of entry and must match the ticket holder’s ID.
Attendees may present a physical vaccination record card, a physical negative test result, or a digital document on a mobile device (such as a photo image of a vaccination record card).
Refunds: Any ticket holder not meeting the above requirement(s) is eligible for a refund or a ticket to view online.
